When: Every Tuesday Time: 7:30pm Where: St Helen’s Church Hall
The Wives Fellowship started as Young Wives Fellowship 60 years ago. The Group have a regular attendance of between 15 to 18. We start our evenings with a short time of Fellowship with hymns and prayers; after that we hand over to our speakers, but sometimes we have a quiz or a Bring and Buy to help pay the weekly rent.
Talks have been varied from Regency Canal and Olympic Park, the Havering Talking Newspaper, Hope 4 Havering and music from the radio bygone era. We also had Growing up in Wartime and the part women played in it and went to the church at Christmas for the Thurrock Gospel choir. We had a visit from The Golden Girls concert party and we invited St John’s Tuesday Group for that evening; we always enjoy our visits to their group.
The Group gives donations to charities that visit us as well as our regular Charities, the Deep Sea Fishermen, and DEBRA (a children’s skin disease).
We would welcome any new members. We are a friendly group – give us a try.
