Youth & Children’s Ministry (YCM)
We welcome children and young people at both Rainham and Wennington, and we have a number of young families actively involved in the life of our churches. YCMs purpose is to provide children and young people with support to grow in relationship and fellowship not only with Jesus but also with each other. We aim to provide relevant and engaging teaching in fun ways and within a safe environment, to allow your children to grow in discipleship with Christ. We have a trained team who are dedicated to your children and are passionate about them getting to know who Jesus is.
Alongside our Sunday groups at Rainham Parish Church—GIG and Ignite—We also have a number of events and outings for our children and young people that extend outside of Sundays. More information on our upcoming events can be found in the Newsletter.
GIG: Growing In Grace (Ages 3–11)
When: Every Sunday Time: 10:30am–12:30pm Where: Rainham Parish Church
GIG is focused on teaching your child to be rooted in Christ and grow in faith. GIG provides relevant teaching to the children, with exciting craft activities, learning to pray together and over each other. The GIG team have a heart for young children to grow in relationship with Jesus, grow in faith, practice and learn their gifts in Christ. GIG is split into two age groups:
ROOTZ (Ages 3–5)
ROOTZ are an energetic children’s group aged between the ages of 3 and 5. The group is focused on delivering spirit filled teaching based on the foundation that everything is possible with God. The groups is based on the understand of 2 Timothy 15, “and how from infancy you have known the Holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”
SHOOTZ (Ages 6–11)
SHOOTZ is the second half of GIG, which consists of children between the ages of 6 and 11. In this group, children are encouraged to witness to the goodness of God and to develop their relationship with him. We pay close attention to God at work in our lives and focus on getting to know his character and the plan he has for us through the Bible.
Ignite Youth (Ages 11–17)

With many pressures in the world today, Ignite youth leaders are passionate about equipping your young people to live a discipleship life by learning relevant and applicable teaching for today. Our sessions consist of studying and discussing the bible and its daily application, playing games, praying together and being there for one another.
Ignite Students (Ages 16+)
Our aim is to further equip our older students through a small group and mentoring allowing them places to go deeper into the word of God, giving more personalised teaching and connection. This also allows for college students and University students to have a place of support and prayer.
